We provide a creative and inclusive space where students from all backgrounds can discover, explore, and develop their talents through theatrical experiences that blend imagination, teamwork, and self-expression. We empower our young performers to shine on and off the stage.

Meet the Directors

Brianna Jandrowski
Serves as the Music Director at Children’s Theater Academy. Brianna has over 10 years of teaching experience and currently serves as the choir director at Lance Middle School. Having directed over 30 productions in the Kenosha area, her previous roles include teaching music at local elementary schools. Brianna holds a Vocal Performance degree from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, a Master of Education, and a teaching license from Carthage College. Credits include: The Little Mermaid (Kenosha Youth Performing Arts Company), Mean Girls Jr. (Children’s Theater Academy), Annie Jr. (St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy), and many more!

Rachel Skowronski
Serves as the Choreographer at Children’s Theater Academy. Rachel is a graduate of the Carthage College Music Theatre Program. Her choreography has been featured on stages throughout Southeastern Wisconsin, and Chicago, and recently understudied The Spongebob Musical at First Stage (Milwaukee). Choreography credits include: Frozen Kids (Ovation Academy), Catch Me if You Can (Case High School), Elf Jr. (Ovation Academy & Children’s Theater Academy), Spamalot (Case High School), The Spongebob Musical (CTA), and many more!

Colin Swanson
Serves as Artistic Director at Children’s Theater Academy. Colin currently serves as Co-Coordinator and Acting Instructor at Parker Arts Academy in Janesville. He holds a BFA in Theater Studies from Nebraska Wesleyan University and continued his education in Theater Arts Education at Carthage College. Colin has earned four Jerry Awards for Outstanding Direction and five for Outstanding Scenic Design. Credits include: Hadestown: Teen Edition (Parker Arts Academy), Mean Girls: Teen Version (Janesville Performing Arts Center), The Little Mermaid (SDJ Summer Musical) and many more!
